In anticipation of the imminent Adelaide Fashion Festival, guests were invited to an invitation only event held at The Tandanya National Aboriginal Cultural Institute. For the Face of the Festival Launch, I opted for an understated look featuring a couple of vintage wears and a statement lip courtesy of Shanghai Suzy. The nourishing lipstick in shade ‘The Gossling’ wore well all evening despite mouthfuls of canapés and a couple of ciders.
Stunning Indigenous model, Katarina Keeler was announced face of the festival and looked incredible in a jewel toned Jamie Sortino gown. She walked the runway gracefully, and stood for photographs and interviews against a backdrop of Aboriginal art. At face value, it’s aesthetically clear why Katarina was chosen not only to represent Adelaide Fashion Festival in it’s 7th year running, but also by the Finesse & IMG International Model Search at Marion last year. Currently completing her final year of a Bachelor of Nursing at university, the 20 year old is ambitious about her studies and has a humbling approach to her already successful modelling career.
The Adelaide Fashion Festival includes a ten day program including 16 events from 17th – 26th October and will be presented by the City of Norwood, Payneham and St Peters.
