Tune into radio station Agent Provocateur and you will hear a segment where I state that I’m a first time caller, long time fan. I was recently invited to the launch of the Adelaide store and was ecstatic to attend. For the last few years I’ve been receiving my share of eyelash laced goodness via the Agent Provocateur web store. Though it’s visually stimulating, easy to navigate and contains retro pinup illustrations every now and then, it just ain’t the same as the real in-store experience.
The store itself carries pieces from the main, classics, bridal, swim, hosiery and accessories collections. The decor is complete with 70s inspired cherry blossom wallpaper in the fitting rooms with flattering lighting and full length mirrors. There are signature baby pink accents around the store and floral black carpet throughout. One of the benefits of seeing the garments in person allowed me to notice the etched Agent Provocateur branding on gold suspender clips, the high quality and workmanship of the bras and above all else you can actually try things on to ensure you have the right fit. I met Emily, Bradamante & India, the Agent Provocateur girls and can say that they are all lovely to chat with and eager to assist with queries or browsing.
I enjoyed many arancini balls, wine jellies and chocolate covered strawberries. As well as leaving with a gorgeous gift bag with a gold heart key chain (that I’m tempted to turn into a choker locket).
