New Dimensions

Thomas Allen has been ripping holes in the art universe in the form of taking apart vintage novels, science books and encyclopaedias. He eviscerates images; making cut outs, then arranges them with pins, glue and tape, takes photographs and then colour corrects the overlapping exposures with editing software. A contributor to the Wall Street Journal since 2011, Allen’s vivid dioramas take on a story line of their own. His work is currently on display at The Foley Gallery in New York which is where the images below can be found.
